Frequently Asked Questions

What impact will it have on our power bill by switching to energy efficient windows?

Beginning in 1992, with help from ENERGY STAR®, American businesses and families saved $297 billion on utility bills and prevented more than 2.1 billion metric tons of greenhouse gas emissions by 2013. Every Pella® Product meets or exceeds ENERGY STAR certification in all 50 states and most of Canada. What impact will this have on you? Not only might you find a decrease to your heating and cooling charges, you will help protect the environment.

How much will my replacement door or replacement windows project cost?

Our windows and doors are specifically designed and customized for your home, meaning no two projects are identical. Our large variety of products make it hard to discuss pricing without first considering your needs, wants and the project results you envision. Due to this nature, we find it helpful to send out a Pella sales representative who can give you a quoted project price after seeing the project site itself. To expedite the process, your Pella® sales representative is armed with a computer and a portable printer so that they can provide you with all the quote information you’ll need—once the sales representative has had a chance to consider the requirements of the project and brings them to life with your vision.

In addition to offering a large variety of first-rate products to select from, we also have a generous offering of payment and finance options. Pella is uniquely-suited to offer you great window and door products at affordable prices, providing you with a chance to make the renovations you want to while building great value into your Owensboro area home while you do it.

What should I use to clean my glass windows?

We recommend that you should use a prepackaged vinegar-based cleaning solution or use an ammonia free glass cleaner such as Windex or Sparkle. Or you can make your own with one part vinegar to ten parts water. Put the solution on a soft, clean microfiber cloth or paper towel. We do not recommend glass cleaners that are ammonia- or alcohol-based as they could leave streaks or create a film that magnetizes moisture and dust.

Do Pella® employees actually install your replacement windows and doors?

Pella uses contract installers who are certified to install Pella doors and windows. They must complete a rigid set of training courses so that your windows and doors are installed properly and meet Pella’s strict warranty guidelines. We look for the best Owensboro-local people and recruit them to install our projects. Before we hire anyone, Pella requires them to pass a drug test and background check. Our installers are fully protected by liability and workers compensation insurance. In addition to Pella product warranties, your installation is also covered for 10 years under the installation limited warranty and service agreement.

What's different about buying replacement windows and doors from local Pella® showrooms versus buying from retailers like Lowe’s?

Your Owensboro Pella branch offers services and support that “big box” stores can’t provide. Our experts are highly-trained in selling, installing, and servicing Pella Windows & Doors. Having a dedicated Pella sales team, project manager, local service technicians, and quality installers means that you will have the strength of our whole team. We frequently use the term “single source accountability”, meaning that there’s no one to chase down regarding a product, installation, or warranty issue. Simply contact our office, your sales representative, or our project manager with any questions or concerns you may have and we will get to work resolving the issue.

Why is Pella® the right choice for my home?

There are numerous reasons why Owensboro homeowners pick Pella for their replacement window and door needs. Pella is a privately owned, professionally managed company founded in 1925. All of our high quality windows and doors are made with attention to detail and serviced by Pella’s qualified Direct Sales Network. Unlike other manufacturers who sell exclusively through lumberyards or big box stores, Pella has dedicated windows & door stores across the United States and Canada. This unique way of doing business gives Pella clients in Owensboro a highly personal experience with the support of a local to Owensboro, Pella-certified team. Whether you are contemplating the beauty of wood, the strength of fiberglass, or the low maintenance of vinyl—Pella has a superior quality, energy efficient and durable solution.
